Diseases Contributed To Airborne Infections And Immunity

This category of diseases includes all diseases caused by the use of air from one person to another. Its main basis is air-containing germs that enter another person's respiratory tract.

The methods of transmitting disease in this group have been transmitted from an infected patient by talking, coughing, and sneezing drops.

These diseases are most easily spread in crowded places such as schools, transportation, hotels, and various venues. All of these areas must be well-ventilated.

These diseases are divided into two main parts and this is due in part to their infection. The first is (URTI) Upper Respiratory Tract Infection which affects the fluid used to protect the upper part of the mucous membrane in the nose, and trachea.

The second component affects the lower respiratory tract known as (LRTI) Lower Respiratory Tract infections in the lungs.

These diseases are also subdivided due to their nature, some of which are short-lived and rapidly occurring known as (Acute Respiratory Tract Infections) such as the flu, and inflammation of the esophagus. And diseases that affect the lower respiratory tract (LRTI) such as pneumonia (pneumonia) affect the lungs.

There are also long-term infections (chronic Respiratory Infection (CRI) such as tuberculosis (tuberculosis) and whooping cough. In general, diseases caused by airborne infections caused by the presence of parasites are those of bacteria and viruses.

Bacterial airborne diseases include whooping cough, diphtheria, meningitis, and others.

Inhalation is inevitable as the life of every living thing depends on the air for its survival, so it is important to take precautions against these diseases.

Those precautions are to take into account the following:

Have an adequate ventilation system in each house to allow for good air circulation. The room should not have only one part of the window, as a window like this healthy is not required.

Whether in factories or in densely populated areas or even in residential homes it is advisable to have such a natural system with the help of an artificial ventilation system.

This is the existence of a plant known as the plenum system in which the air is treated, for germs are killed and the air is cooled and humid this is found in air conditioners as well as the air cooler.

Another system is to emit dust that can affect the air and be thrown out through a special machine. There is also a system that combines industrial dust extraction plants and brings fresh air. All of this is done with the sole purpose of combating airborne infections.

Avoid congestion. Congestion is a condition of unwanted crowds, such as in transportation, meetings, and so on. In general, overcrowding is a problem for people, for example, a room with a capacity of 100 meters is special for one person, now instead of one person increasing another that is already crowded. It is now important to avoid congestion to avoid infection.

Isolation: This is keeping patients away from people so that there is no communication of any kind between patients and non-patients. Although this condition affects patients psychologically, the impact on patients is small compared to the effect it will have on communication. By doing this we will be preventing the spread of disease.

Existence and provision of health education: Given the severity of the disease and how to prevent it, the Ministry or Department concerned should provide education to the community.

To protect themselves from these diseases people should consider the following.

People should have personal hygiene by covering their mouths and nose when coughing or sneezing.

Use a handkerchief or paper when clearing mucus or defecating.

Do not spit indiscriminately inside and outside the house.

There should be no use in donating cups and bowls between the sick and non-sick.

Wearing nasal and eye masks: This should be done in factories and hospitals and helps the industry to prevent inhalation of dust by mixing it with air.

It also prevents infections of infected people for example in hospitals. It also protects against infections in premature babies by making sure they do not get inhaled air directly from doctors, nurses, or infected people. With that in mind, we will be protected from airborne infections.

Vaccination: People get vaccinated to protect their bodies against airborne infections.

Vaccination is provided by the immunization unit in the EPI Expanded Program on Immunization. Tuberculosis is prevented by BCG vaccines, and smallpox has been eliminated, it is not currently available due to specialist efforts.

Measles (measles) is protected against measles vaccines sore throat (Diphtheria), as well as whooping cough, which are collectively protected by DPT vaccines.

All of the above are based on airborne infections and how to protect yourself. Given the indisputable fact that we should give priority to prevention as prevention is better than cure.
